Amnyamnyomnyang Friends

A character universe built on the belief that anyone can take on a new challenge.

Developed in 2022 as characters for Project Cheum, this universe centers on Amnyamnyomnyang, Hamnyamnyomnyang and Bae Beaver. The artist planned and designed the characters and has expanded them through marketing, goods, exhibitions, painting, ceramics and 3D printing.

Amnyamnyomnyang

A character who symbolizes the belief that anything is possible.

Amnyamnyomnyang manages a smart farm, runs experiments, paints, handles tools and keeps taking on new challenges.

Personality
Strawberry-loving orange cat Amnyamnyomnyang is a cute and spirited character who proudly says, “You can try anything!” Amnyamnyomnyang builds a smart farm to grow strawberries, creates robots for automation, and even decorates spaces with their own artwork—a truly versatile cat.
Story
Amnyamnyomnyang once lived on “Amnyamnyomnyang Planet,” a world blessed with fertile land and advanced technology. In a place where farming and art naturally existed side by side, Amnyamnyomnyang was always dreaming of new possibilities. Looking for a wider world and new land to explore, Amnyamnyomnyang came down to Earth, quietly settled in, and began building a small smart farm. To grow delicious strawberries and other crops on Earth, Amnyamnyomnyang went through countless experiments and trials. They built robots to automate harvesting and even developed their own growing systems to produce more crops in limited spaces. Even so, unexpected challenges kept appearing. Sometimes the strawberries would wither for no apparent reason, and sometimes crops were left over after the ideal harvest time had passed. Through these experiences, Amnyamnyomnyang realized that simply growing crops wasn’t enough. They needed a space of their own where the strawberries they grew could be put to use. After thinking about what to do, Amnyamnyomnyang decided to open a café where they could share the crops they had grown. They also began making deliveries so their produce could reach people farther away. While running the café and traveling long distances to deliver crops, Amnyamnyomnyang met all kinds of people. Some of them were artists who created drawings and stories, and these encounters became a new source of inspiration for Amnyamnyomnyang. Having always lived by the idea of “trying to do what you can on your own,” Amnyamnyomnyang wanted others to have opportunities to begin something of their own as well. So they decided to offer spaces where people could work and create—a place where someone could start something and keep it going. Amnyamnyomnyang is still thinking, experimenting, and trying new things. Sometimes things don’t work out, but that never stops them from trying again. Through a life of learning by doing, Amnyamnyomnyang continues to discover new possibilities—not only alone, but together with others. The journey continues, and there will always be room for others to join along the way.

Raised on Amnyamnyomnyang Planet, Hamyumnyanyang is an artist who draws, grows plants, and decorates spaces with small sculptures. After reuniting with Amnyamnyomnyang on Earth, they bring color and warmth to the farm, cafe, and shared studio while caring for the people who visit.

Thoughtful and calm, Hamyumnyanyang notices what others need and turns new experiences into art.
Story
While tending a small world of plants, paintings, and sculptures on Amnyamnyomnyang Planet, Hamyumnyanyang hears about Amnyamnyomnyang's new life on Earth. Eager to draw new experiences, they travel to Earth and begin caring for a busy farm, cafe, and shared creative space.
Relationships
A companion reunited with Amnyamnyomnyang on Earth. While Amnyamnyomnyang leads new experiments and shapes the structure of each space, Hamyumnyanyang makes it warm, expressive, and welcoming.

Bae-beaver

A dependable beaver who goes wherever strength is needed and sees every task through.

Bae-beaver is a dependable and hardworking beaver from Gajae Village on Earth. After reuniting with an old school friend, Amnyamnyomnyang, Bae-beaver becomes an essential teammate who lends strength at the farm, cafe, events, and new building projects.

Personality
Steady and persistent, Bae-beaver never turns away from work that needs doing and stays beside their friends until the job is complete.
Story
When Amnyamnyomnyang begins growing strawberries and building a new life on Earth, Bae-beaver sets other work aside to help. Moving heavy pots and supplies is difficult at first, but daily work builds strength and experience. Bae-beaver now helps with nearly every part of life at the farm, cafe, events, and new spaces.
Relationships
An old school friend and present-day teammate of Amnyamnyomnyang. While Amnyamnyomnyang leads ideas and experiments, Bae-beaver keeps the practical work moving and carries it through to completion.

Ryongtori seeks out fading dreams and offers courage to those who are losing hope, believing that a warm gaze and a few trusting words are more powerful than magic.

Warm, mysterious, and gentle, with an unwavering belief in other people's dreams and hearts.
Story
When anxiety and sadness entered the Forest of Dreams, a tiny seed asked Ryongtori for help. Ryongtori nurtured it with comfort and trust until it bore the first shining dream fruit. After seeing the fruit restore a child's smile and lost dream, Ryongtori began seeking out fading dreams and sharing dream fruits with people.

Ryongtori watches over children and adults who are losing their dreams, offering them dream fruits.

Bamkkasi

The story of Bamkkasi, a shy chestnut-burr guide who welcomes friends to Bamgasi Village.

An independent character world about Bamkkasi discovering a meaningful role close to home and gradually growing in confidence.

Bamkkasi

A shy but warmhearted chestnut-burr guide who knows Bamgasi Village better than anyone.

Bamkkasi is a chestnut-burr character born in Bamgasi Village who has never been able to shed the outer shell. Although the shell has made traveling far from home difficult, staying in the village has allowed Bamkkasi to know it better than anyone. Bamkkasi now guides visiting friends through its shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Personality
Shy and cautious yet warmhearted, gradually gaining confidence by showing friends around the village.
Story
Unable to shed the chestnut shell since birth, Bamkkasi remained hidden inside it and stayed in Bamgasi Village. As shops, restaurants, and cafes appeared over time, Bamkkasi found a role close to home and became the guide who knows the village better than anyone.
